Roblox Innovations Award took place on September 12th, and players nominated multiple games; the top 4 in each category were nominated for the award. Over 50 games have been nominated in total. The categories include General and Creator, Technical and Immersive, and Game Genre. Games and content creators can drop out of the nominations.
The General & Creator category was the first category announced, with 7 different nominations in it. The first award was Best New Game, which Animal Hospital won as well, with 3 other awards being People’s Choice, Innovation in Creative Direction, and the Builderman Award of Excellence being a special direct Honor. Other awards include Best Studio, UGC Creator, and Video Star, with Nosniy Games winning Best Studio and Valkenheim winning UGC Creator, and Best Video Star going to Laughability.
The Next category is Tech and Immersive, which generally points to technical frameworks, monetization tools, and features made to build engaging games that feel real or deeply interactive. Awards for this category include Best Plugin, Best Use of Audio, Innovation in Tech, and Best Innovation in a Branded Game. For Best Plugin, UGC maker Toolbox won for how easy it is to make custom UGC. Best Audio was won by Doors for using its audio for warning cues, and Spatial 3d with headphones to hear exactly which way the sound is coming from. Best Innovation in a Branded game was won by Steal a Brainrot x GOAT, and Innovation in Tech by TKK.
The Last and Largest category by far is Game Genre for best games of each genre on Roblox. The awards for this category include Best Shooter, Puzzle, Survival, Strategy, RPG, Action, and more. Nominees for each category are Rivals: Best Shooter, Finish the World: Best Puzzle, FIFA Super Soccer: Best Sports, Jujutsu Shenanigans: Best Action, 99 Nights in the Forest: Best Survival, Mini War: Best Strategy, Piggy; Intercity: Best RPG, Natural Disaster Survival: Best Classic, each game showing its popularity and creativity in its genre.
Participants who played in the game The Block were able to get free items for the event. The items that were available were a Crown of Rivals, Duck Duck Duo, Terminal Torch, and Dueling Defenses. Also having a golden and silver variants, with the Crown of Rivals variants resembling a Domino Crown. As well as having an After Party Awarding the Monstercat RIA Vinyl Figure.
