Today we—The Manosphere Review—interviewed Patrick Chadman, the social media creator best known for his advice on how to “ascend,” with a large fanbase primarily composed of youth: most of whom have accredited Chadman as the source for their progress toward maximizing their appearances. One commenter on his most recent post, a detailed routine of his morning, stated that they were “mirin bro.” Recently, Patrick has also begun encouraging his viewers to buy what he calls the “Ultimate Ascension Guide” course from him. Patrick Chadman shared that he had always known he was destined for a life of mogging. Ever since reading The Picture of Dorian Gray to “readmaxx” as a self-proclaimed “IQ pill,” he’s felt affirmed in the belief that the true meaning of life was to do so. Patrick told The Manosphere Review that it was only a matter of time before he’d become a true Adam, and only then would society revere him.

When asked what sparked his interest in looksmaxxing, as well as what led him to share his method online as a rising influencer, Chadman explained, “Well, you know, I’ve always felt like I was meant for this life. I didn’t really know what this life was until, like, a year ago—when I got framemogged for the very first time—but I decided I needed to ascend, and it’s what my past self would have wanted. Look at me and my hunter eyes now.” He grew cheerful in this recount of his background, only slightly morose at the mention of being “framemogged.” He continued that it wasn’t easy to glow up as much as he had, but “aesthetics mattered,” and he’d considered it “his duty to enlighten the masses.”

Chadman shared, “In the wise words of Patrick Bateman, ‘I believe in taking care of myself.’ Some people call me a little superficial about it, obsessive, all of that, but they can’t possibly get it. They’re normies, after all.” We’d asked him how, exactly, he’d managed to become the “ideal” he described himself as. “I eat 10 eggs each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Whatever else to sustain my intake. Mewing, bonesmashing, all of the methods you’ll learn in my course, the Ultimate Ascension Guide!” He noted that he was aware of the backlash he’d garnered from popularizing his routine and ideology: that being the rise in unhealthy eating habits, self-objectification, over-exercising, and unrealistic physical expectations. His response, he told The Manosphere Review, was that “Adams shouldn’t internalize it.”

Finally, we implored Pablo McJackson, an individual well-researched in the field of body dysmorphia, to weigh in on this conversation. “What many of the young men and women susceptible to the harmful rhetoric of the ‘looksmaxxing phenomenon’ neglect to realize is that this aspiration to wildly ‘improve’ one’s appearance is predominantly an effort by social media’s algorithm and influencers to spark insecurity within them. Thus, they are led to extreme methods of consumerism to buy all the latest products, courses, and procedures to ‘maximize’ their looks.” McJackson expressed sympathy towards those who have suffered the result of this manipulative doctrine, and encouraged Patrick Chadman to actually ‘readmaxx’ the conclusion of The Picture of Dorian Gray.
